youth preach & interpet the Word

San Lazaro

San Lazaro Team

South Carolina Team

Team from South Carolina

We have had a team here from South Carolina International University. Their leader is Steve Aulds. There were 8 that stayed at San Lazaro with us and 9 that stayed at Sand Hill they are student teachers. They are a great group of kids. They worked at the school during the day. They sure were a blessing to us. They were a very talented group of kids several professional piano players, guitar player and drummer, there were singers, preachers all very polite and talented. What a pleasure to be with. They wanted to try the national food. There was someone that came in and cooked at night. We tried to show them everything we could about Belize. We hated to see them go. They did a program at the church at San Lazaro on Wednesday night and did a great job. One young man preached, other lead choruses, and other shared their testimonies, one was the MC and also played the Guitar, they did skits and everyone loved it. As they prepared to leave they climbed the coconut trees and Galo helped them get the coconuts to carry with them. It was hilarious; they all had a great time. They went to Punta Gorda for the next week. We are looking forward to their return,
We are planning on going to Progresso tonight already there is a vanload that wants to go and encourage them. That is such a nice village we are looking forward tonight.
The boys here at San Lazaro School won first place in the football tournament. We have a great team. I wish such a great team could have some ball shirts that match. I pray the Lord lays that on someone’s heart! One of the tournaments they weren’t allowed to play because they didn’t have uniforms like most of the schools! That’s a shame.
Well continue to pray for us and our family as we seek to do his will for our lives.

New water fountain

The Bathrooms

The bathrooms are finished they have been working on the septic tank. It has got to be up to standards. Everything is ready to start up now. They were painting and finishing up .The Team from South Carolina brought two water fountains with them one for San Lazaro School and one for Sand Hill. One is installed in San Lazaro some weren’t sure what it was as they had never seen a water fountain. The men showed them how to use it. It looks great and the kids are real proud of it. The school looks great. Bro. Don and the men will try to start on the new sidewalk at Sand hill next week. The Board of Missions has sent money for it, the children and teachers now have to walk in water if it rains at all or turn out school. It is so low there it floods easily .It is dry season here now so we much hurry before the rain starts again.

Ceiling Fans

San Lazaro School has new ceiling fans; the men have worked all week trying to install them. There will be two in each room. It is so hot out there they have needed them for a very long time. They look great!!

Sweet Honey

Bees' in the Mission House

Bees in the Mission House

Well there have been bees in the Mission House again. I think we have them about once a month. They usually are the killer bees and these were also. The regular bees are a little different size and color. The men tried to kill them twice and had no luck they couldn’t get the Queen and all the bees were mad because people were messing with them. The last time they got men from the village to get them they work with them for a living. They put on suits for the event and ended up tearing out the wall on the end of the house. But at last they got them and carried them away in a box to raise honey. There was already a cone of honey in the house wall. The wall has been fixed since then. There has been another group that has come the next day. But the workers killed them. Thank goodness. There has been several people killed in the villages by the bees and we can’t have them here because of the school.
