Sunrise Service

About 5:30 in the morning we had a Easter Sunrise Service there were about 25 in attendance for the event. Bro. Don fixed a cross for people to nail there sins or prayer requests on. When the service was over he set the cross on fire and burned the requests. It was a moving service. After we all ate eggs, bacon, and Johnnycakes it was a great time of Fellowship for all. Everyone left about nine o’clock then we went to August Pine Ridge for Sunday school there were only about ten children there last week there were 18. But we had Sunday school, did craft and then had an Easter Egg Hunt .The children had a great time and the parents came out to see what was going on. It was a good morning. In Belize there is Holy Friday, Saturday, Holy Sunday and Holy Monday a lot of the people go to the river, drink or whatever. It’s a good time for us to stay home and out of the way. The Catholic religion has all sorts of services for two weeks around here. Some are very impressive. On Sunday night we went to San Lazaro and Bro. Don did a communion service there. There was a good service and also good attendance. After everything ended I must say we were both give out all we have done is run for two weeks. Pray for our families’ and us as we seek to do his well for our lives.

Pastors Meeting

We had pastors meeting at Fireburn on Saturday. It is always a pleasure to go there and be with Bro. Daniel and his church members. It was well attended we carried several with us in the van. Progresso had five that spent the night at the Mission House Friday so they would be able to attend. We appreciate their faithfulness. The minutes were read and there was a time to share how to improve the churches and bring unity to our conference . We were blessed to have Rev Nicolas Carrillo in attendance he has preached in Progresso the last five weeks for the people there. Who knows what the Lord will do. The ladies fixed us tamales for us it was sure a special treat. Discussions were made concerning camp and the activities for the summer.. Rev.Donovan has been very faithful to visit each church and has been a great help as he encourages the pastors. He went with us to Progresso after the meeting to have service with them. The week before to was at San Lazaro. He has been blessed by having a wife that can take care of the church while he isn’t there. Praise the Lord.

Leadership Classes

We had Leadership classes at the Mission House this Saturday; the regular meeting place wasn’t available. It was a good meeting and we had several Spanish people there. We had a Easter meal afterward. After the meeting the youth from San Lazaro had an egg hunt in the yard. There were a lot of children and they sure had a good time. After the meeting we carried a van full to Progresso for service. Bro. Don served communion and it was a special service for us there.

Side Walks at Sand Hill

Things are going well here. The men have been working on the Sand Hill School sidewalks and now have them complete. The children will be overjoyed when they return from the holidays. They get two weeks off here I guess they include Spring Break in there time off. When it rains hard they have to cancel school because of the water. They can’t get to the bathrooms or the lunchroom and have to wade water to get to the office. This will be a great help! They look great. Thanks Board of Missions!!
