New Ladies & Mens Group at San Lazaro
August 22
New Womens and Mens Group started
San Lazaro started a new womens group on Thursday. We will go through the book The Purpose Driven Life. I will help by teaching the book . Marieila will lead the group. The men also have started a new mens group on Saturday nights. I know it will be a great help to the church.
We carried about 35-40 from San Lazaro to Guinna Grass for a revival on Friday night we carried two vans. They had a large crowd their . The people could't get into the church their were so many people.
We have new tile in the schools computor room. It really looks pretty. It is green with blue grout. Looks great . They are working on black boards today. They are working hard getting ready for Sunday. it will be a great day in San Lazaro and the school. It looks great. Everyone could be proud of it.
It rained here hard all night Saturday night. Sunday morning all the creeks were flooded. We decided to go to August Pine Ridge anyway. Manuel needs our support now as he trys to get things started in the church. He is a man of prayer and I know the Lord will Bless him and his ministry. Their was water over the road in a few places. When we got to the bridge.Everything was under water you could't even tell where the bridge was. Some men came and one waded through it . It was up on his thigh ! We decided not to pass for fear of getting water in the motor! One did pass when it got over his licence plate he backed up turned around and backed through the water! Two young men stood on the edge of the bridge so people would know where the edge was as their is no railing on it. We were afraid we would float away as the current was bad in places. Their were several cars and trucks behind us none dared to pass through. We met some interesting people as we waited after a hour the water droped a few inches. A van decided to pass through Don said if he made it we would go the Rodeo was higher then their van. He made it and we followed ,the water was up almost to the doors! We arrived at the church a hour late. They were still their as some of the children where coloring and glittering things. Manuel said a old man wanted to speek to the Missionary he was a long time member of the Methodist Church. It turned out to be a good visit. He showed Don his Bible It was from the 70's written in it were Rev Carlos and Eva Dawson!! We have really learned to appreciate them and the sacerfice they have made to this field. When you see them let them know we are seeing results that have endured the passing of time. He said they had also given him one in the 60's He said he would be a Methodist until he dies and will care about the church their. His son came in a younger man and said he had a list of all the member that use to be their and would help Manuel visit them!! His son was their last night. What A blessing . He is a key man in the VIlliage and is willing to help. Praise the Lord.!!The Old man and his wife are two old to walk the half mile. Don said he would't make it a habit but would carry them to church next Sunday to be in the house of the Lord one more time. His name is Gregoiro Ramos and his son name is Geigo Ramos.
Continue to Pray for us and our family as we seek to do the Lords will for our lives.
